As we have observed, Amman does not have a history of public squares. Instead, the street network, which exists as a means of circulation is also a 'public web'. In an ordinary day-time satellite photograph, the streets and this the public spaces  are also the shadows. In contrast, I have highlighted 5 small sites which begin to approach "the square" in hopes of finding sites in which to implemented a small 'attractor' element: our version of the Public Bit.
